I had the time of my life on Saturday. In case you have not heard due to being new to our world or living under a rock, The Saturday of May has been officially called "Free Comic Book Day" and it is like a nation wide convention, without the hotel fees. This is my 4th or 5th FCBD and for the sake of my comic store I dressed up as Spider-man, and the kids loved me. I would run down the line giving everyone high fives to everyone in line. There were some kids that I scared a little at first, so when I got a high five from them, I would get excited and they would smile and be so happy.

I would high five people driving by comic book store which was something I was unable to do last year. There was one time I ran up to an SUV and jumped next to them yelling "SELFIE!!!" and scared the teeange girl in the passenger seat. I go back and Wonder Woman had fallen to the ground laughing her head off.

There was also Spider-Gwen there and she looked awesome. When you saw her, you could tell that a lot of work was put into her outfit. However....when she spoke....it was obvious that 'she' was actually a 'he' under all the padding. XD There were a lot of confused faces.

There was music, there was a frozen ice stand, and so many cosplays that were awesome. I think the best moment was part of the day was when Star Lord, The Queen Fairy and I (Spider-man) Started dancing to the 'Bird is the Word.' The people in line roared in laughter and were getting into it. After the dance one of the comic store workers, that knows me, walks up and says, 'You have just made Books Galore History. He recorded the whole dance and will no doubt have it playing at the store, maybe even post it on Youtube. XD

Needless to say, my body is soar, my throat is soar, and there are tiny moments in my mind where I say, "That was really stupid." However the rest of my mind takes over and says with a smile, "Totally worth it."

So what did you guy do for Free Comic Book Day? Please tell me you all had as much fun as I did! XD

So I went to see Insurgent today, and for those of you who do not know what it is: Insurgent is the sequel to Divergent which is based off of a post apokoliptic time where America was at war and died down to a very small amount of people living in what is left of Chicago. Kinda like Hunger Games, but instead of 13 districts like those series, Divergent divides people into 5 different groups called 'Factions.' Dauntless, Amity, Erudite, Abnegation, and Candor. Those that do not make it in these factions are cast out  and considered 'Factionless' because they do not belong anywhere. There is however a group of people who fit into all Factions and they are called 'Divergent' hence the title. This is where the main character Beatrice or Tris later on, comes into place because she has to try and figure out where she belongs after finding out that she is, ready for it, Divergent.

Insurgent takes place after the first book/movie and I won't try to go into much detail and I will try to warn you if there are any spoilers.

Good:
Tris is a strong hearted character that many people can get behind and respect. You see how much she struggles from the events that took place prior. In a way you feel you can relate to Tris with all that had happened and makes you wonder, could you do all that happened to her if you were in that position?

Also we get to look deeper into some of the Factions and see what each group is like. It was like they were asking the people in the theater 'Where would you see yourself?' At least that's what I got.

The ending was really surprising to me because you could tell that there was something going to happen and when it does, it's so sudden and it ends. It makes you want to go see the next movie whenever it comes out.

Bad:
There was really only one scene that ruined what was an intense moment. The main character has to make a decision and another character that she is in love with tells her not to do anything stupid. Well as they continue, they decide to kiss and soon clothes start coming off. You only see their backs, but still it seriously ruined the moment. Also one person came close to or did say F*** and considering that it's a PG-13 and a book series that has become very popular with young readers, there's no point in that at all.

Conclusion:
All in all it was a really good movie. Not as good as the first one, but I like where they are going with it and I seriously hope that they tone down on the sex....seriously people, if you want to see sex, go on a porn site. Leave it out of the movies. Please? Thank you.

Ok so I have seen many movies and I thought I would tell people my review on all of them

Big Hero 6
What an incredible movie to watch, I loved every second of it, I was laughing at Baymax mostly and I love the comic nerd they put into the movie. Even with all of its comedy there was a lot of emotions within the movie and it also showed a really neat bond between brothers.

American Sniper
This is probably one of the best war movies out there thus far, and yet one of the most traumatzing things I have ever seen. The intensity of the movie left me at the edge of my seat and at the same time had me cringe at scenes. It does not show good guys, bad guys, or anything. It's mostly how war affects people more ways than most.

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies
I love the battles I have loved every bit of this movie. I however felt that it ended too suddenly for me. Also even though the battle was large in the movie, it felt kinda small in a way. All in all, it's a really good movie and I look forward to getting the extended version of it on Christmas.

Divergent
Wow, I was not expecting such a incredibly well done world. It reminded me a lot of the Hunger Games, but it still had it's own feel to it, and I liked that. This not only made me want to read the book, but I look forward to seeing Insurgent in theatres.

Guardians of the Galaxy
I know, a little late, but I wanted to say that Groot is now my favorite character of all time. I love that tree so much and he makes me laugh everytime.

Captain America Winter Soldier
Late on this one as well, but HOLY CRAP!!! I think that this did better than the first one and that's saying a lot in my opinion.

The Giver
This movie was so inspirational it made me think differently about things. I loved watching it and I think that everyone either has to see the movie or read the book, or better yet both. This is such an eye opener and I hightly recomend this movie.

Michael Vey: Prisoner of Cell 25
This is a series I just started and let me tell you what, this was the first time I read a book in less than a week. I could not put it down, I loved it that much. It actually teaches people a little science especially when it comes to electricity. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

///////

So now that's done, I have gotten a lot further in my writings and I'm at a point where I'm wondering where my story goes next? It's really exciting and yet scary at the same time. I have so many people to thank for who pushed me to keep going, to stay focused and to be able to get where I'm at in this story. I still have a long ways to go, but I am not giving up on it. So how are you guys doing?
